May 11th:

We travelled from Glen Rose, TX, to Clovis, NM; around 400 miles:

According to "Drive Weather", this should have been mostly in rain and thunderstorms, but in reality we didn't hit much until we were closer to Clovis, where we hit scattered rain storms.  Not too bad.

Arriving at Clovis, we were shown to our camp site, we connected everything up, and went on a small hike along a trail which circled a small pond.  Along the trailer were interesting informational signs about Clovis.  One mentioned where the town got its name:

and another answered a question we had about Clovis and "Clovis Point arrowheads":
