On our second day at McDowell Nature Preserve, we visited the place for which we came here, The Carolina Raptor Center!

We got out rather late in the morning, so ended up at the Raptor Center in the early afternoon.  The place is in a heavily wooded area, so the temperature was nice and moderate throughout.  We spent around 3 hours here and saw many, many, different types of raptors along with learning interesting facts about each one.  No, I don't remember them all!

Richard took pictures of each one, but Kelly's pictures are the best, since she has a super-zoom camera.  In the meantime, here are Richard's pictures.
