Homeward bound!

Leaving from Arian's house in the late morning, we had an almost 400 mile drive ahead to get home.  It was fairly uneventful.  After getting gas in Yuma, we calculated that we would need just a little more to get all of the way home, but then remembering that we still had our 5 gallon gas can in the car, we calculated that would be sufficient.  We stopped at a rest area to empty the gas can into the car, which was more than sufficient.  This was also good, because it allowed us to use the extra gas and thus empty the container, instead of having gas sitting around.

So, we drove up to our lonely home about 1 hour before sunset, grabbed the things we needed for the evening, grabbed some food for a sunset snack, and settled in for a good sleep.  Kelly investigated the state of the birds and the garden, and while everything needs a lot of care, it's mostly in good condition.  Richard found a drip watering line which seemed to be continually running and will need to investigate this further.

There will be a lot of cleaning up and fixing for the next few weeks or months, but it was a good trip!  Thanks for following along with us!
