So, on the morning when we were to leave Willow Lake RV Park, we finally had time to check into that "low tire" on the trailer.  Remember that?

We have a small 12 volt tire air pump, so plugging it in and checking the pressure on all trailer tires, Richard found that the back passenger tire on the trailer was, indeed, very low!  It registered as 10 psi!  Ok...  So, maybe the tire has a leak?  Maybe we ran over something and it needs to be fixed now?  Maybe we'll have to replace the tire with the spare we have on the back of the trailer?  Looks as if we will not be getting out of here by noon!

Richard decided to fill it back up to normal pressure, eat breakfast, and then see if it has lost pressure.  The thought was that maybe, just maybe, it actually didn't have a leak after all.  Remember that the whole trailer slid to the side a day or two previously?  Maybe the tire had so much pressure against the side that it actually separated the tire from the rim and let out all of the air!  If that's the case, simply repressurizing the tire should be sufficient.  If, on the other hand, it has an actual leak, we should see some pressure reduction after breakfast.

Breakfast (which can't be beat!) happened...

And...  we see no real reduction in pressure on the tire!  Interesting.  Let's drive (roughly 30 minutes) over to our friend Jerry's house and then see if there is any noticable pressure difference.  I'm beginning to like this "trailer slide separated the tire from the rim" idea!

Driving over to Jerry's house, it suddenly occured to us that...  wait...  Jerry's place is down a gravel road.  We're just a little paranoid of gravel roads these days!  Yes, it hasn't been raining for a week, but...  just in case...  we TXT'ed Jerry asking if he's sure his road is in good enough shape for our trailer.  He said it has a washboard effect in places, but otherwise should be fine.  Ok, I guess we'll chance it...

No problems getting to Jerry's place.  We had a really nice visit, saw his magnificant chicken coup, met his various cats, said "hi" to the dogs, walked down to the creek (where Kelly looked for rocks, of course!), and finally said our "good bye" to "Red Dog Ranch".  It's a really nice place and we would like to visit again in the future.  Before we left, we checked the trailer tire.  It was still looking just fine, so indications are that the trailer slide was probably the cause.

Traveling down I-17, we made our way to Glendale, AZ, to visit with our friend Arian (her husband Bart was not home at the time).  We had a very nice visit with Arian and attended our group's "Friday Night Knitting" from her house.  It was a good, even if only one afternoon.  The tire is still holding pressure, so we think we're ok!

Tomorrow, we made the long (almost 400 miles) trip to Home!
